I love this piece of gear. Don’t get the plastic versions or the smaller ones from Japan. This is solid and sturdy. It also breaks down easily for cleaning. I’ve not had to replace the blades and I use it all the time. I ditched the knob that holds the food. Get a good safety glove instead. And make sure no one who’s squeamish is watching you. You don’t want to cut yourself, so be mindful when using this. It’s one of the best tricks to getting foods cut to a uniform thickness. Essential for dehydrating too.
