  I lived for years without one of these, until I got the Anova Sous Vide machine, which requires it. Now, I can’t see how I got along without it. This is such a great way to store food that’s destined for the freezer. I buy the rolls of plastic and make my own bags, it’s a lot more economical that way. This is great to store away things like dried herbs and other items you dehydrate.
