Anova Immersion Cooker
I love this device. You may have seen this in one of the professional kitchens on The Food Network or Top Chef. This device, which attaches to a soup pot or large plastic bucket, controls and circulates the water and keeps it at a specified temperature. Why? Well, slow cooking over a long time does wonders to proteins. You simple seal the food in a vacuum sealed bag and place it in the water bath for a few hours up to a few days (for a brisket for instance.) It has a iPhone app that gives you recipes and timings and autosets the device. It’s extremely cool and a very effective and modern way to cook.
