This is my second Vitamix. I graduated up to an even more powerful model from my first one. This is the same unit that is used in professional kitchens. Think of it as a blender with a jet engine. I use my at least six times a week. It’s perfect for so many things, making cracker batter for the dehydrator, raw soups, smoothies and the like. It can be used for making nut flours and other things that require the horsepower it provides. The only downside is that it’s not easy to clean. For small batches, I love the Ninja instead. It handles hot liquids easily. I make a vegetable puree soup weekly and pour the cooked vegetables in here with their broth and blend until the liquid is smooth as silk.
